Life as a Chauffeur is full of entertainment, fun, stress and awakening. All at once.
Many only see what looks like to be a life of luxury. The truth is you are always switched on. You hardly shut down to rest in complete down time. The pager would go off, the phones would ring and your on the run to meet planes, clients or errands for those that trust you with their privacy.
Early rises to wash limousines and be at the airport before the first plane lands, means washing in the middle of winter when your cold and tired and not slept adequately. Sometimes in darkness and out doors, or washing late at night for the early morning rise just to get some extra minutes in to sleep... If you can sleep and can trust you wont miss a plane landing prior to ETA.
When you're so tired as you have been going for days and around the clock, you rely on the quiet short break whilst a client is having lunch, or dinner. So you set your phone for cat naps.
It is not a life of leisure it is full on and this affects your health of course.
Then there are interesting scenarios which occur in the back of your limousine. Some depending on your clientele are not legal but you pretend you are not aware of what is happening. Conversations which you learn to close your ears to and stay focused on driving to distract your hearing of things not meant for your ears.
Many things take place being a chauffeur. Some can lead you into very dark and dangerous places, if you don't choose to stay clean and professional and disconnected from your clients.
There is certainly a lot of cats and mice behaviour in the limousine world.
My health was my deepest concern. I loved my life as a chauffeur and I was proud of being professional and driving the latest model luxury vehicles. However, if you don't have health you have nothing...
I could see I was depleting from lack of sleep, true sleep and home cooked nutrition...
So how did I converge from depletion to healthy?
My next story ...
